Job Description

  • We are hiring a Senior Payments Solution Engineer / Senior Payment Platform Consultant with deep experience in enterprise payment systems, cloud deployments, production support, and customer-facing solution delivery.

  • The role is suited for a senior engineer or consultant who can independently lead deployments, troubleshoot complex incidents, guide customers, and coordinate with architecture, DevOps, infrastructure, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead deployment, configuration, implementation, and optimization of enterprise payment platforms.

  • Own technical delivery across customer lifecycle stages, including production readiness, release support, incident management, and root cause analysis.

  • Work closely with customers, architects, DevOps, infrastructure, product engineering, and support teams to resolve critical issues.

  • Conduct solution walkthroughs, technical workshops, platform reviews, and operational improvement discussions.

  • Support cloud and containerized deployments across Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker-based environments.

  • Improve deployment automation, CI/CD processes, monitoring practices, and operational reliability.

  • Mentor junior engineers and share payments, platform, and production support knowledge.

Payments Domain Experience

  • Strong understanding of banking and payment systems, including high value payments, real-time payments, card payments, account-to-account payments, payment routing, and payment orchestration.

  • Exposure to payment rails and standards such as SWIFT, TARGET2, CHAPS, Fedwire, TIPS, UK Faster Payments, RTP, FedNow, Zelle, and ISO 20022.

  • Experience supporting enterprise payment hubs, payment switches, or large-scale payment processing platforms is preferred.

Technical Skills Required

  • Hands-on programming or scripting experience in one or more of Java, GoLang, Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.

  • Strong working knowledge of REST APIs, application logs, deployment troubleshooting, and platform integration.

  • Cloud and platform experience with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and high availability environments.

  • DevOps exposure to Git, GitOps, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Terraform or infrastructure automation concepts.

  • Database troubleshooting experience with MongoDB and SQL databases.

  • Monitoring and observability experience using dashboards, logs, metrics, Grafana, and performance analysis tools.

Must Have

  • 10+ years of enterprise software or platform engineering experience.

  • Strong banking and payments domain knowledge.

  • Customer-facing implementation, consulting, or solution engineering experience.

  • Production support experience for mission-critical applications.

  • Strong ownership, analytical thinking, communication, and incident-management discipline.

Good to Have

  • ISO 20022 migration exposure, disaster recovery planning, load balancing, performance testing, payment certification, or enterprise integration platform experience.

  • Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, payment processors, payment networks, or enterprise software product environments.

  • Experience with payment hubs, enterprise payment switches, or commercial payment platform implementations.
